Wellness Massage & Aesthetics Spa is hiring a Licensed Massage Therapist for our Irmo / Lexington, South Carolina spa locations.

We are a local massage and wellness spa serving clients in Irmo, Columbia, and Lexington.

Our goal is to provide professional, relaxing, and client-focused massage services in a clean, respectful, and supportive environment. If you are a caring, dependable, and properly licensed massage therapist, we would love to hear from you.

 

This opportunity is for a self-employed independent contractor who is properly licensed in South Carolina and is comfortable working on a 1099 tax basis.

This is a good fit for a therapist who wants a flexible schedule, a professional spa setting, and access to clients without working in a large corporate spa environment.

Role: Licensed Massage Therapist
Work Arrangement: Independent Contractor / Self-Employed / 1099
Locations: Irmo, SC and/or Lexington, SC
Schedule: Flexible; part-time, weekends, early mornings, evenings, or selected days available
License Requirement: Active South Carolina Massage Therapy License required

About the Opportunity

 

We are looking for a professional, dependable, and client-focused licensed massage therapist to provide high-quality massage services in a clean and peaceful spa environment.

​

Services may include Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, couples massage, hot stone massage, prenatal massage, sports massage, aromatherapy massage, lymphatic drainage massage, foot reflexology, chair massage, or other services depending on your training, experience, and scope of practice.

Independent Contractor Status

 

This is an independent contractor opportunity, not a traditional employee position. The therapist will be responsible for their own tax reporting and will receive a Form 1099 for tax purposes if applicable.

​

Please note that this position does not include employee benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, sick leave, or other employee benefit programs.

Requirements

 

Applicants must have:

• An active South Carolina Massage Therapy License in good standing

• Professional liability insurance, preferred but not required.

• Professional attitude and reliable communication

• Ability to provide massage therapy services safely and professionally

• Willingness to follow sanitation, draping, privacy, and professional conduct standards

• Ability to comply with South Carolina massage therapy laws and licensing requirements

• Previous massage or spa experience is preferred, but not required

Important Licensing Notice

 

All massage therapists must hold an active South Carolina Massage Therapy License before providing any massage services.

Applicants who are not currently licensed in South Carolina may contact us for future consideration, but they cannot provide massage services until their South Carolina license is active.
